Rajputi
Discover our handcrafted rajputi — heritage-inspired fashion jewellery, designed and made in Jaipur.
The weight of a real wedding day.
Rajputi (or Rajwadi) is the wedding-era jewellery of the Rajput courts of Rajasthan — Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner. The signature is the layout: heavy gold-plated bases, broad chokers that fill the collarbone, long ranihaars that fall to the navel, and the motif vocabulary of the desert kingdoms — peacock, elephant, lotus, sun, parrot.
These pieces are designed to be photographed. The Rajput wedding is a seven-day event with multiple looks; the bride is the centre of every frame; the jewellery must sing across the entire visual register from haldi (yellow) through mehendi (green) to vidaai (red). Rajputi layouts are scaled accordingly — the choker is bigger, the maang tikka is heavier, the haar is longer. Calibrated for the seven-day wedding, not the dinner-party silhouette.
Our Rajputi pieces are hand-set on a gold-plated German-silver base (the alloy of choice for Indian bridal because it takes plating evenly and holds the weight without bending). Motifs are hand-engraved, then meena-detailed on the reverse — every piece carries the full Jaipuri vocabulary.
What to wear it with. Lehenga or saree in the deep traditional palette — Rajputi reads as costume against modern minimalism. The right complement is a maharani-tone outfit (red, wine, deep blue, emerald) with traditional embroidery. Pair the choker with matching maang tikka and naath (nose ring) for full bridal effect.
Peacock. Elephant. Sun. The Rajput hand.
