Talk to the workshop

Reach the Nandai atelier in Jaipur.

Three ways to get in touch — depending on whether you want a quick answer about a piece, a longer conversation about a custom commission, or to plan a private studio visit when you're next in Jaipur.

For most questions

Email the workshop.

Sizing, materials, shipping, order changes, after-sale care — anything that needs a thoughtful written reply with photos attached. A real person at the bench replies within hours during workshop time (Mon–Sat).

For "what suits…" questions

Ask the sommelier.

We trained a small local model on the full catalogue, every tag, every material, every price, and the answers our founder has typed to customers. It runs locally — nothing you ask leaves the workshop, and it's faster than email if you just need a piece recommendation for an event.

Commission directly.

Bridal sets, single statement pieces, family-heirloom redesigns, complete trousseau planning. Lead time is six to eight weeks from approved sketch to delivery. Routes straight to the founder's inbox — no agency layer between you and the bench.

Private studio appointments

Visit the bench, watch the kiln.

We host a small number of private appointments at our workshop in Johari Bazaar, Jaipur, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. You'll see the foiler's bench, the Kundan setting station, and the meena kiln — the same kiln we use for every bridal commission.

Visits are unhurried and uncommercial — there is no obligation to commission a piece during or after the visit. Most visitors come to understand what they are buying before placing a bridal order; some come because they grew up watching their mother wear pieces from this tradition and want to see how it is still made.

Email hello@nandai.store with your travel dates and we'll send back two or three available slots.

After the piece arrives

The relationship doesn't end at delivery.

7-day returns

If a piece doesn't fit your event, return it within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. Pieces must be in original packaging, unworn beyond a try-on. We pay return shipping inside India; outside India we cover shipping above $100.

Lifetime touch-ups

Stones loosen on bridal jewellery that gets worn hard. Send it back to the workshop and we'll re-set the stone, re-polish, and ship it home. No service fee for the lifetime of the piece — labour is ours, you cover round-trip postage.

Re-design

Inherited piece you don't wear in its current form? We re-design — un-strung pearls become a new haar, an old Polki becomes maang tikka, a heavy Rajputi necklace splits into a choker and a tikka. Email karan@nandai.store with photos.

Order documentation

Every order ships with an itemised invoice naming the technique, the artisan, the materials (gold-plated brass with kundan-style stones, American-diamond accents, hand-painted enamel where applicable), and the catalogue price in INR. Nandai is imitation / fashion jewellery — we do not issue insurance-grade valuations, since those are reserved for hallmarked precious-metal pieces.
